Pacific Blasting & Demolition Ltd. Signs Emergency Contract to Remove 20 Million-Pound Rock Slab

Pacific Blasting & Demolition Ltd. has signed an emergency contract to remove a 20 million-pound rock slab that came loose from a hillside above Washington State's busy State Route 503, approximately 21 miles east of Woodland, in Cowlitz County.  The resulting debris slide has closed the highway since March 13, 2017.  Washington State's Department of Transportation (WSDOT) chose Pacific Blasting & Demolition Ltd. to complete this time sensitive work due to the company's experience with precision rock removal and slope stabilization projects.
