Exemplifying NorLand Values

Body:

Yesterday we saw an excellent example of what it means to be a part of the NorLand Family. Our crews work hard to get the job done, but they don't stop there. They go above and beyond, even when they could easily pass the buck on to someone else. This story below is from an incident report on a job site yesterday afternoon, shared via a weekly Health and Safety Update.

A Sneak Peak at Pride Month Inside NorLand

Body:

June is Pride Month, and this year NorLand has chosen it honor it with a Colourful Shirt Day. On June 8th, employees were instructed to wear a colourful shirt to show support. For every person that participates, $10 was donated to QMUNITY, a non-profit organization based in Vancouver that works to improve 2SLGBTQAI+ lives. In one day, the EDI Committee managed to raise $780! The PDF below is from our HSE Update during that week.

NorLand Joins Industry Partners to Donate $20,000 to Surrey Hospitals Foundation

Body:

In January 2022, Brad Tangjerd (Business Development Manager, NorLand) presented a $5,000 cheque to the Surrey Hospitals Foundation. After partnering on several construction projects in Surrey and the broader Fraser Health District, McElhanney’s Paul Deol, who volunteers on the Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation Board, thought that it was time for NorLand Limited, McElhanney, Eurovia BC, and Ledcor Group to partner again. This time, we wanted to team up to show our support for Surrey, a community that has allowed us to work, learn, and build so many cool things together.
