Workout Challenge 2.0

Body:

Last year, NorLand hosted a Company-Wide Workout Challenge encouraging NorLanders to stay active while adhering to COVID-19 restrictions. As 2021 rolled around, it became clear that the global pandemic was far from over – so NorLand has launched a new and improved workout challenge to keep employees active, connected, and engaged in 2021.

February is Black History Month

Body:

In Canada, the month of February is celebrated as Black History Month and in the spirit of this we are going to shortly reflect on last year and the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement.

In 2020, we have seen the international rise of the BLM movement, which started in 2013 in the United States. This past year we saw protests across North America and the world in support of anti-racism and eradicating violence against Black people, people of colour, and Indigenous peoples.

Bell Let's Talk

Body:

January 28th is Bell Let’s Talk Day; this is a day to discuss mental health, provide support to those who need it, and continue to work towards ending the stigma around mental health.

According to a Nielsen Consumer Insights Survey, 84 percent of Canadians are now comfortable discussing mental health compared to 42 percent in 2012. While this is a positive increase, we need to continue working towards ending the stigma altogether – because as we know, 1 in 5 Canadians will experience a mental health problem or illness in any given year.
