Meet the Team
Mr. Gudewill has been Chairman and Principal Shareholder of NorLand Limited since 1989 and is the President and Founder of Innovex Equities Corporation, an investment and acquisition holding company. Sam was formerly the Chairman and Principal Shareholder of Versacold Corporation, the second largest independent cold storage logistics company in the world with 85 locations globally when it was sold in 2007; and of Preisco Foods and Tier One Sales, industry leaders in Western Canada for wholesale grocery distribution and food brokerage, respectively, when they were sold in 2001. Prior to 1985, Sam was one of the very earliest employees (in 1979) of Intrawest Corporation, which became a leader in experiential destination resorts, serving as Vice-President of Corporate Development until his departure to found Innovex. Sam has also been a member of The Young Presidents’ Organization / World Presidents’ Organization since 1993 and was Chairman of the Saint George’s School Foundation Board for five years through 2012.
Mr. Reynolds has been involved with NorLand Limited for over 30 years. Dave started his career as an apprentice heavy duty mechanic and is now the President & CEO of NorLand Limited. His wealth of experience with every aspect of NorLand Limited allows him to connect with employees at every level and maintain an all inclusive team atmosphere. In addition to his valuable contributions to NorLand Limited, Dave has served as a Member of the Board for The International Union of Operating Engineers Local 115 Training Association for over 10 years and is also a Board Member at Construction Labour Relations BC after serving on council for 10 plus years.
Mr. Bekar has been involved with NorLand Limited since 1971 when he and his two brothers purchased Pacific Blasting Co Ltd. Dale worked his way up from controlled blasting specialist to serve as President of NorLand Limited for 28 years. His valuable experience working in the field and managing a diverse company like NorLand Limited allowed him to serve as Chairman of the Construction Labour Relations Association for 4 years. Dale has also served on the Board of Directors of Skillplan (BC Construction Association Skills Improvement Council) and the Labourers Training Plan.
Mr. Doucette has served as NorLand Limited's CFO since 2002 and as Executive Vice President since 2016. Tim is responsible for company finances including acquisitions, corporate strategy, partner relations, treasury activities, tax planning and accounting. He is involved in numerous construction industry organizations and is currently the past Chair of the BC Construction Association Group Benefits Plan. Tim is also a past Director of the Road Builders and Heavy Construction Safety Network. Prior to joining NorLand Limited, Tim served as CFO for the Jim Pattison Group's Out of Home Media Division, Canada's largest outdoor advertising company.
Mr. Bradley has spent over 35 years involved in the engineering and construction of transportation and utility projects in Western Canada. Scott’s experience and familiarity with British Columbia’s physical and logistical challenges ideally positions him to lead NorLand Limited's pursuit of major infrastructure opportunities. He has overseen NorLand Limited's expansion into partnering with large international and national contractors, as well as local construction firms, to expand our technical knowledge to better serve our existing and future clients. Scott represents NorLand Limited on Executive Committees of major construction joint venture partnerships, such as the South Fraser Perimeter Road in Surrey/Delta, BC and the Fairview Container Terminal Expansion in Prince Rupert, BC.
Ms. Kawa has over 6 years of experience in the construction industry. Asiah is responsible for timely and accurate preparation of NorLand’s financial reporting package, leading the year-end audit, annual financial planning and budgeting process, cash management for the construction group of companies, and ERP integration. Having received her Honours Bachelors degree in commerce and business operations from Laurentian University, Ontario, Asiah is a CPA, CGA registered with the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia. Asiah also serves as a Professional Education Program facilitator with CPA Canada. Prior to joining Norland, Asiah worked at Terus Construction, a division of the Colas Group where she contributed in various process improvement projects including an inventory management, CAPEX analysis and cash-flow forecasting.
Mr. Patterson has been involved with NorLand Limited for over 15 years. Since 2015 Brooks has been on the Board of Directors at WorkSafeBC. He also sits as Past Chair with the BC Construction Safety Alliance Board of Directors, is Secretary Treasurer of SkillPlan and is a trustee with the Construction Industry Rehabilitation Plan. He holds a Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety from BCIT and is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional.
Mr. Radcliffe has been involved with NorLand Limited since 2013. Michael is a professional engineer with over 30 years of experience in all aspects of the Design-Build Group's operations including engineering, project management, construction, commissioning, performance assurance, business development, finance and strategic planning. Prior to joining NorLand Limited, Michael served as Operations Manager, Mining and Metals for AMEC Vancouver, the largest engineering and project management firm in British Columbia.
Mr. Tangjerd has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. In spring 2013, Brad joined NorLand Limited as Business Development Manager to improve NorLand Limited’s market position and achieve financial growth. He builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, with a focus on marketing and promoting our new brand. Having received his engineering degree from the University of British Columbia, Brad is a Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC (APEGBC). Brad previously worked for SNC Lavalin on large Civil Infrastructure projects as an Engineering Manager specializing in Design-Build and Public Private Partnership projects both on the proposal phase and execution.
