Grain Handling Trippers Installation
Richardson International’s North Vancouver facility is one of the most successful grain handling facilities in the world, exporting on average, nearly 5 million metric tonnes per year. The North Vancouver terminal is a major exporter of canola and cereal grains to countries along the Pacific Rim.
LNS Services was contracted by Richardson to design and build four new grain handling trippers for this facility. These new fully automated trippers offer greatly enhanced performance in several key areas such as capacity, efficiency, and safety
The new trippers have replaced the original trippers built in the 1970s. They have been completely redesigned from the structure to the mechanical components and chute work, the upgraded electrical and automated control system, and the revamped dust collection aspiration. With each of these upgrades utilizing the latest technologies.
LNS Services collaborated with Richardson International at every step of the design and construction process to ensure the new equipment would be tailored to meet the operational requirements of the terminal while keeping safety and maintainability for the terminal personnel at the forefront. Using innovative design solutions LNS Services helped to deliver four high functioning pieces of equipment that surpass the project goals and will assist in continuing the North Vancouver facilities Industry-leading performance.
