Marcus Bowcott TransAm Totem Installation

Pro-Tech was recently contracted by Vancouver Biennale and a local artist Marcus Bowcott to install a piece of artwork in downtown Vancouver. Pro-Tech assisted the artist with the logistics and installation of the artwork to make his vision a reality. The artwork consists of 5 cars perched on top of an old growth log, supported by a steel pole and concrete foundation. Over a period of 2 days, Pro-Tech installed the artwork in the median of a busy downtown Vancouver street, with minimal traffic disruption and no incidents. The artwork has been featured on local news and has been well received.

Pro-Tech has been working with Vancouver Biennale for several years installing and removing artwork on a rotating basis, as the artwork is on loan from artists and other cities. Vancouver Biennale also takes advantage of our storage and warehousing services to consolidate and store art in between exhibitions.
