Emergency Rock Slab Removal and Slope Stabilization

Pacific Blasting & Demolition Ltd has signed an emergency contract to remove a 20 million-pound rock slab that came loose from the hillside above Washington State’s busy State Route 503, approximately 21 miles east of Woodland, in Cowlitz County. The resulting debris slide has closed the highway since March 13, 2017. Washington State’s Department ofTransportation (WSDOT) chose Pacific Blasting to complete this time sensitive work due to the company’s wide range of experience with precision rock removal and slope stabilization.
