Dome Pit Ore Slot

Objective: Recovery of High-Grade Gold Ore.

This challenging project involved recovering high-grade gold ore from the high wall of a completed, mined-out open pit in an area that was previously inaccessible to equipment. Our crew and equipment were airlifted by helicopter and crane to the work site, on an existing bench in the open pit. Daily access was accomplished by rappelling down the high wall. Our crew safely and efficiently completed rock slope stabilization, precision drilling and controlled blasting operations to facilitate the recovery of the high-grade ore.
