Underwater Blasting

Underwater blasting is often used to break up rocks before removing them. Before the blasting begins, several steps must be taken. First, the site should be thoroughly investigated. This is done to figure out the type of rock that will be blasted and the size of the rockhead (the part that sticks out from the bedrock). The surrounding area should also be investigated, as blasting can cause ripple effects that impact nearby buildings and other structures.

Slope Stabilization

A slope’s stability is its ability to withstand movement. For example, on a soil slope, the soil is influenced by gravity’s attempt to drive the soil down to the earth. A soil slope can be extremely heavy, and if that weight overcomes the slope design, it can become unstable, and an unstable slope can cause massive damage to the construction site, the workers, and nearby structures and people.

Structural Shotcrete

What is Structural Shotcrete?

Structural shotcrete is the use of shotcrete in a structural setting. In other areas, shotcrete may be used to temporarily reinforce the perimeter of a construction site. Here it is used in the long-term strengthening of the structure. It is often used for retaining walls, parkade walls, and for seismic upgrades, though it can be used in many other situations as well.

Shotcrete Shoring

Shoring is the temporary or permanent support of a structure that is weak or unstable. Shotcrete shoring uses sprayed concrete (shotcrete) to reinforce the perimeter of the project area. Anchors may be drilled and installed to hold the shotcrete in place. Many construction projects need to be shored up to prevent soil from falling into the site. Taking these measures at the beginning of a project ensures that all workers are safe.

Grouting

Grouting is the injection of pumpable materials into soil or rock with the intention of altering its physical characteristics. For example, grouting can be used to control ground water during a civil engineering project.

Drilling

Our drilling team has the knowledge and experience to complete challenging drilling projects for a wide variety of operations. We offer methodology consultation for efficient project execution and have the capacity to modify our drill rigs to meet the demands of any scenario.
