The work is generally comprised of the following: Bulk excavation, excavation of building parkades, detailed footing & mechanical excavation, gravel slab prep, foundation backfill, site servicing including water, sanitary, storm and electrical systems. It also included the placement of parking lot gravel structure, sidewalk gravels, lock block retaining walls, sediment & erosion control.

Key Challenges & How They Were Overcome:

The schedule was a huge push on this project. Copcan manned the site with 15-20 workers at times with 3-5 excavators moving fill and placing gravels. Space was also limited on such a busy site with over a dozen sub trades working concurrently. Copcan worked closely with the superintendent from Seymour Pacific to ensure we stayed ahead of their other trades and crews.
