CCW Bursary – Every Person Deserves to Grow
In 1981, Canadian Construction Women (CCW) was created with the mission of creating a stronger construction industry by supporting and inspiring women. CCW believes in connecting women to a powerful network of other women, in building a community of women in construction, and in providing opportunities for women in the industry.
In keeping with the value “Every Person Deserves to Grow”, NorLand donates $1000 annually for the CCW Women in Construction Bursaries, established to provide financial support to women who:
- Are currently enrolled in any full-time construction-related credential program;
- Are currently enrolled in a trades training program; or
- Have graduated from a trades training program within the last year and are seeking financial assistance with provisioning of tools and equipment related to her chosen trade.
Our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee represents NorLand with the CCW by attending board meetings and volunteering at the CCW events. NorLand is a CCW Gold Sponsor, contributing $2000 each year. The EDI has also promoted NorLand at CCW events by sponsoring NorLand drinks, food and silent auction items.
During the year, the CCW hosts various events and our EDI Committee forwards those notices to all of NorLand. You can register and attend any of the events at the member rate.
