Copcan Wins Member of the Year at the 2025 VICA Awards
June 6, 2025
We are proud to share that Copcan, a Norland company, was awarded the Vancouver Island Construction Association (VICA) Member of the Year for companies with 50+ employees, at the 2025 Vancouver Island Building Industry (VIBI) Awards.
This award recognizes companies that have made outstanding contributions to the construction industry on Vancouver Island through operational excellence and their participation in committees and programs that help shape the future of construction.
Copcan brings a specialized focus on heavy civil construction, underground utilities, environmental services, and remote access solutions to Norland. Copcan’s team has a strong track record across Vancouver Island, delivering important infrastructure projects for communities, such as:
- Malahat Nation Foreshore Reclamation, Vancouver Island – excavation and installation of 120 lineal meters of geotextile, filter rock, and riprap to protect important coastline
- Briarwood Bridge Infrastructure Project, Vancouver Island – constructing a 28 m bridge to replace a temporary structure installed after the washout of a triple culvert system, restoring safe road access to a small community
- 767 Douglas Street, Victoria – demolition and removal of an underground parkade and old hotel boiler rooms to support construction of new retail and office space for local businesses.
We thank the VICA for this recognition and are especially proud of our Copcan site teams, whose craftsmanship and commitment continue to be recognized in the industry.
