Duties & Responsibilities: Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct all daily and monthly Accounts Payable activities
  • Work collaboratively to ensure effective accounting and administrative resource management
  • Work closely with division managers, project managers and procurement managers to ensure cost activity is accurately posted to A/P and Job Cost
  • Set up invoices for payments; prioritize invoices in accordance with probability of cash discounts as well as other terms of payment
  • Prepare batches of invoices for data entry, complete entries and process backup reports
  • Correspond with vendors and respond promptly to inquiries
  • Prepare analysis of accounts and verify accuracy of all relevant documents
  • Maintain computerized records and/or providing data for input into general account system
  • Perform other ad-hoc administrative duties

What we’re looking for:

  • Completion of a two to three-year college program in business administration or in a related field is required or two to three years of related experience plus completion of secondary school is required
  • Possess a minimum of two (2) years hands-on experience in an accounting field, specifically accounts payable
  • Proficiency in MS Office computer applications and knowledge of ERP system;
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A sense for confidentiality for all information received from the company
  • Be well organized, with demonstrated attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Be able to prioritize to ensure timely completion of tasks

CompensationThe role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical salary range of $50,000 – $60000 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and experience. Are you an experienced Superintendent? At BEL Contracting, we’re looking for a Superintendent with extensive knowledge and experience in urban pipe laying and road building. As a BEL Superintendent, you will lead trades and construction staff in the field, while coordinating their responsibilities and activities on multiple sites

Duties & Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and executing project plans to meet project schedules and critical path dates
  • Modeling excellence in safety, and ensuring that crews deliver on the high safety standards that we expect of all employees
  • Meeting production targets, while ensuring we never compromise on quality
  • Solving all project issues and scheduling conflicts
  • Using your understanding of job costing and forecasting to form a basis of decision on critical project tasks
  • Recognizing and managing scope changes
  • Developing project safety plans and ensuring the project team works those plans
  • Leading, scheduling, and directing trades, subcontractors and other construction staff
  • Mentoring foremen and working closely with junior field engineers on site
  • Teaming with the project manager to ensure seamless project delivery to the client and identifying critical aspects of execution

  • Participating in estimates of execution hours, equipment & other resources required for civil construction projects

What we’re looking for:

  • 6-10 years of experience leading civil construction crews
  • Proven track record of successfully completing complex underground civil utility (potable water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, district heating), earthworks, road building and other infrastructure projects
  • Experience working with Lower Mainland BC soil conditions in all applications (peat, running sand, glacial till, etc.)
  • Diploma in a related field of study is an asset
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office software

Compensation

The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical starting salary range of $130,000 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and experience. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understanding that as a supervisor, the foreperson is responsible for safety, quality, and protecting the environment for the assigned work
  • Leading crews to install deep utilities in difficult ground conditions (open cut and shored excavations)
  • Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications to provide clear instructions to the crew
  • Maintaining daily records including crew and equipment time, material receiving, productions and summary of activities on site
  • Training each position on the crew and taking responsibility for the crew’s development

  • Operate in a safe and respectful manner at all times on NorLand & client job sites

  • Minimum 5 years working experience required on 20-30ton size excavators
  • Primary experience is on an Excavator, but ability to operate backhoe, dozer, &/or loader an asset
  • Achieves maximum production with full attention to crew safety and the prevention of incidents
  • Understands & completes daily equipment service requirements and inspection log
  • Participates in safe work planning and communicates effectively
  • Has experience with various shoring types and excavations
  • Has experience working with pipe crews and is comfortable working in tight urban environments and near traffic
  • Has experience digging around live utilities
  • Can cut slope, tench or grade to finish tolerance
  • Experience with GPS systems an asset
  • Have a valid driver’s license

NTI Services Ltd. is an industrial construction and maintenance contractor that delivers value-added engineering, project management, and construction services to materials-handling, mining, and other industrial and commercial sectors. We primarily install and maintain machinery and related structural steel work for container ports, bulk material terminals, and heavy industrial manufacturing plants – mostly within the Vancouver Lower Mainland.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Engineer at NTI Services Ltd. is responsible to ensure that project design, procurement, construction, and completion is done in compliance with the project contract requirements, technical standards and procedures. Project Engineer will have oversight of most major aspects of project technical scopes; including design and constructablity reviews, developing subcontractor scope packages, creating field work packages, installation drawings, troubleshooting installation challenges in the field, commissioning, project close out documentation, and supporting the Project Manager and Superintendent on various project related tasks.

Accountabilities:

  • Promote a work environment where the safety and health of everyone involved is paramount
  • Execute capital projects according to the work scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Manage preparation of detailed design drawings, material specifications and procurement
  • Participate in design and constructability reviews
  • Prepare and submit RFIs

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist project manager and construction manager in establishing project objectives, procedures, data collection methods, and performance standards within parameters of project specifications
  • Prepare necessary updates of construction activities and determine personnel and equipment requirements
  • Offer technical information to project supervision to ensure work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.
  • Work closely with QC engineer to monitor and track project quality control metrics and activities on a regular basis, provide timely and accurate quality reports, and raise issues to PM or Superintendent as appropriate.
  • Create and administer testing protocols for monitoring project performance
  • Inform supervisors and subcontractors promptly of any construction schedule changes, and work closely with all stakeholders to ensure requirements are met
  • Oversee budgetary, scheduling, and project databases, and report regularly to project manager on progress as well as on problems that could significantly affect cost or schedule
  • Manage compliance with standards and specifications for quality control and assurance
  • Coordinate with engineers, designers, owners, and field personnel.
  • Generate Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals.
  • Monitor and manage subcontractor schedules and technical queries
  • Support the QA/QC engineer with field welding management (procedures, NDT, documentation)
  • Manage 3rd party structural / mechanical gap engineering
  • Manage 3rd party geotechnical engineer
  • Organize critical lift plans with crane subcontractor
  • Inspect all work to assure compliance with plans and specifications
  • Have a general understanding of project budget
  • Generate project punch list and closeout documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in engineering, or technical school diploma and extensive practical project engineering experience on applicable project work
  • 8+ years of work experience in engineering, construction, or other related technical field with increasing levels of responsibility and development considered an advantage
  • 4+ years of experience as a Project Engineer in the industrial construction sector, with structural mechanical bulk material handling experience considered an advantage
  • Experience managing multiple subcontractors of varying disciplines
  • Excellent communication skills at all stakeholder levels – including suppliers and fabricators, field and office staff, consultancies, and clients and owners
  • Strong grasp of engineering principals particularly structural and mechanical
  • Some electrical and instrumentation experience considered an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic – willing to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Basic Navisworks and AutoCAD skills
  • Proficient in MS project, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Outstanding time management, prioritization, multitasking, and organizational skills

This position is based onsite at project location. The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical salary starting from $110,000 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, experience, and internal pay structures. Are you an accomplished Project Manager with a passion for driving successful construction projects? At BEL contracting part of NorLand Limited, we’re seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead and oversee our high-impact projects. Your leadership will be pivotal in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

In this role, you’ll manage project timelines, coordinate with teams, and ensure every detail aligns with our commitment to excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Review the contract, plans & specifications to determine scope of work and to define project requirements and milestones.
  • Lead a project team to safely meet project milestones, within budget and to specifications.
  • Manage all aspects of project performance, including but not limited to, startup, safety, cost, schedule, quality, environmental, client interface, operations, scope changes, billing, and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain solid, long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Work on project pursuits and lead proposal efforts, when required.
  • Mentor junior team members with the aim to develop their skills.
  • Manage claims and change orders.

What we’re looking for:

  • 8+ years’ minimum experience managing all aspects of heavy civil construction from project start to project closeout in Canada.
  • Onsite project management experience on a variety of large scale heavy civil infrastructure and transportation projects which involved highways, underground utilities, earthworks, and structures.
  • Ability to effectively manage new client development, client issues, complaints and inquiries while providing excellent service to clients.
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Projects skills, Hard Dollar experience is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, outstanding time management, prioritization, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, where collaboration is the key to success.
  • Strong work ethic – ability to work in a confidential, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Compensation

The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical salary range of $100-140k per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and experience. NorLand offers a comprehensive total rewards package that includes a competitive base salary, bonus, extended health and dental plans with premiums full paid by the company, as well as paid time off and RRSP matching.
