Civil Labourer

Copcan Civil, part of NorLand Limited, is searching for Skilled Labourers in the Okanagan region, with extensive knowledge and experience in city, urban pipe laying, and road building.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performing tasks involving physical labour such as loading and unloading building materials and equipment as needed
• Preparing the site to eliminate potential hazards
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the site to ensure it is clear of water and scrap material
• Providing daily labour support as directed by the on-site team
• Assisting in erecting and dismantling temporary structures as needed
• Following instructions and operating as a productive member of a high-functioning team
• Working independently, as well as part of a team
• Being punctual and having excellent attendance

What we are looking for:

• Safety knowledge and experience in the construction industry
• Experience with basic power and construction tools
• Valid BC driver’s license preferred
• First aid is considered an asset
• Fit to work – ability to see, hear, walk, stand, and lift up to 50lbs
• Have a positive attitude and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally

Expected wage range: $24 to $34 per hour (exact compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal equity, and other criterion)
