Sales Estimator/Project Manager
Join us as a Sales Estimator / Project Manager!
Apex Specialized Rigging and Moving/Pro-Tech Industrial Movers, part of NorLand Limited, are searching for a new team member to fill the position of Sales Estimator/Project Manager in Abbotsford, BC. The Sales Estimator/Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of sales and successful project execution. You will build relationships with our customers, and you will provide overall leadership and control of the project, typically from bidding the job and determining scope with the client, through project execution to project closeout. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with our customers to generate repeat business and word of mouth advertising.
- Effectively manage projects from pre bid walkthroughs to commissioning and project close out, managing scope and ensuring that any changes to scope are documented and approved. You will be the primary point of contact for our customers.
- Proactively lead, coach, motivate project team members and be accountable for team performance and results.
- Review plans & specifications to help determine scope of work and define project requirements as part of a team effort.
- Work with project stakeholders to develop project estimates and proposals (scope, schedule, cost, team, and execution plan).
- Ensure regular communication and proactive client/customer relationship management.
- Working with the business development team to secure new work contracts for Apex and Pro-Tech.
- Participate in our strategy development and execution of the company strategy.
- Manage onsite trades and subcontractors.
- Participate with engineering design review (design improvements and constructability feedback).
What we are looking for:
- 3+ years of work experience in sales/business development, engineering, construction, heavy-haul transportation, or other related technical field with increasing levels of responsibility and development is preferred
- 3 years’ experience as an Estimator or Project Manager in the Industrial Construction or Heavy-Haul transportation sectors is as asset
- Proficient with MS Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Estimating and business development experience, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset is an asset
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
Compensation
The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical salary range of $85,000-120,000 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and experience.
