Underground Utilities
Our extensive underground utilities teams collaborate with municipalities and private entities to deliver infrastructure and utility installations and upgrades, as well as subdivision development. With our diverse expertise, we enhance communities through road improvements, parking, sidewalk installations and upgrades, vegetation and water systems, and site restoration. We emphasize environmental protection and sustainable development by complying with environmental laws and permits, implementing site-specific Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) for each project. We complete the majority of the civil construction using our own resources and equipment, allowing us to control the critical path of the schedule, which provides schedule surety and allows trust to be built with Stakeholders, the public and the client’s team.

General Contracting
We offer a comprehensive suite of services for building and maintaining industrial and commercial properties and tenant improvements. Our offerings include project management to ensure all construction processes are effectively coordinated and completed on schedule. We provide site evaluation and pre-construction planning, assisting clients in making informed decisions before breaking ground. During construction, we oversee all phases, from laying the foundation to ensuring compliance with safety and building codes. Post-construction, we also provide maintenance and repair services to ensure the structure’s longevity and functionality.
Environmental Contracting
Ensuring compliance with current environmental standards is a cornerstone of our project delivery. Collaborating with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, BC Conservation Foundation, Ducks Unlimited, and Local Stream Keepers, NorLand consistently completes projects with environmentally sensitive aspects. Our expertise includes salt and fresh water projects, breakwater construction and maintenance, dredging, retaining wall construction and maintenance, pier removal, bank stabilization, fish habitat enhancement, and dam and dyke construction and maintenance.
Forestry
Working closely with forestry companies, we routinely complete projects such as stump-to-dump logging, logging road construction, brush cutting, silviculture stumping, and forest land scarification. Additionally, we offer services including stumping and clearing, road deactivation, bridge construction, site rehabilitation, wood waste grinding, stump grinding, forestry residue debris management, and dry land sort debris management.
Aggregate
The Quarry, located in Nanoose Bay, BC, provides a comprehensive range of aggregate supplies, including sand, gravel and riprap for diverse project needs. Our additional products include blast rock for in-stream work, landscaping rocks, and driveway chips, ensuring we can meet almost any project requirement.
