CDI Construction Drilling Acquisition
In November of 2020, NorLand acquired CDI Construction Drilling. Founded in 2005, CDI is a privately-owned, specialty foundation drilling contractor and drill equipment rental company. Based in Duncan, B.C., CDI has great transportation solutions for shipping their equipment anywhere in the world. With a fleet of drilling equipment and an experienced team, CDI takes a lot of pride in their dedication and delivery of high-quality construction drilling solutions.
CDI has become an employer of choice manning some of the best trades people in the industry. They have a wide range of auger rigs, down-hole hammer (DHH) drill systems, oscillators, Casing Rotators, temporary casing systems, spherical grabs, hammer grabs, cranes, and Wirth Pile Top drill systems to meet their customers’ needs.
The acquisition of CDI will not only expand NorLand’s footprint on Vancouver Island, but will also widen our portfolio of services in the Infrastructure Sector, add expertise in ground improvement and large diameter drilling, and increase our capacity in executing infrastructure projects from coast-to-coast.
We are also excited to have CDI’s recognized industry experts joining our team. Led by three industry veterans - Kelly Smith, Dan Berg and Mike Maric - they and the rest of CDI’s staff of 74 will be welcome additions to the NorLand family!
