Mayfair Mall Expansion Project

The selection of the award was fastidious given that the project is LEED Certified. PCL Constructors Westcoast awarded the project to Construction Drilling based on their experience, reputation, and joint success in past projects.

The expansion consists of 172 cast-in-place concrete piles in nine configurations, consisting of three different diameters – 18”, 24”, and 36”. Caissons are both permanently cased (18” and 24”) as well as temporarily cased (36”).  The foundations are to be installed at and below grade, further complicated by a multitude of pile-top rebar requirements.

Amidst tight installation tolerances and stringent project specifications, CDI is working with the client to ensure the project is carried out while allowing the Mall to stay operational during its busy Holiday season.
