1957 Willys Pickup Takes Home 1st Place at Port Coquitlam Car Show !

Our very own, fully restored 1957 Willys Pickup truck took home first place in the 'Best Stock Truck' category at the Downtown Coquitlam car show! Shane Peachman, a retired NorLand Limited employee for the shoring division, was the pilot for the event. The company truck was restored for the 50th anniversary of Pacific Blasting back in 2008.

We are pleased to announce that on August 10th, NorLand acquired the Quebec-based drilling supply company ML Air Inc. Founded in 1966, ML Air is a third-generation Leclaire family enterprise that distributes drilling and blasting tools.

NorLand Cleans Up !

On Friday July 13th, a dozen members of NorLand Limited joined together to participate in a garbage and recycling cleanup of NorLand Avenue. The cleanup crew covered ground between the NorLand head office and Burnaby 8 rinks collecting 7 bags of recycling and trash. The bags were separated into mixed containers, soft plastics, paper and garbage then recycled accordingly.
The Sinking of YOGN 82

On June 21, teams from Pacific Blasting & Demolition and Apex Specialized Rigging & Moving participated in a project to sink a concrete ship, the YOGN 82. This was the first controlled sinking of a concrete ship anywhere in the world, and a project our teams are very proud of.

North American Occupational Safety and Health Week (NAOSH) week occurs during the first full week of May every year and its goal is to focus employers, employees, partners and the public on the importance of preventing injury and illness in the workplace, at home, and in the community. NAOSH Week was first launched in June 1997, marked by an agreement between Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
