Application Administration and Support Specialist

We are looking for a new team member to fill the position of Application Administration and Support Specialist.  You will be expected to contribute to the realization of NorLand business goals by administering software solutions and providing support to their user communities by efficiently and effectively addressing their issues, requirements, and questions. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Become familiar with the NorLand business application ecosystem.
  • Understand the technical architecture and configuration of assigned applications, including extensions, customizations, integrations, reporting, and workflow.
  • Understand NorLand business functions, processes, and workflows as they relate to assigned applications and in the context of the NorLand business application landscape.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the NorLand team, in various locations, to provide timely and effective support and training to customers of assigned applications.
  • Create and administer security roles and access for assigned applications.
  • Maintain and protect the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Provide support to the management of software configuration for assigned applications.
  • Support continuous improvement of assigned applications.
  • Support development and maintenance of custom workflow for assigned applications.
  • Organize and coordinate implementation of software features, releases, and upgrades for assigned applications.
  • Build and maintain strong customer and vendor relationships.
  • Continuously strive for a high-level of customer satisfaction.
  • Contributing to a positive work environment.

 

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in information technology, systems development, or other relevant qualifications; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training.
  • Understanding of data protection and privacy concepts.
  • Understanding of application security concepts, including segregation of duties.
  • Strong, creative problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Customer service orientation with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent technical aptitude.
  • Ability to commit to, and deliver on, a schedule.
  • Proven experience administering and supporting enterprise applications.
  • Ability to respond to business requirements and priorities.
  • Understanding of ERP business purpose and functionality
  • Understanding of application technical architecture and database concepts
  • Understanding of best practices around application deployment and security
  • Strong commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office tools, especially SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Vision
  • Experience in the construction or engineering industry sectors would be an asset.
  • Experience with Infor products such as LN and GHR would be an asset
  • Willingness to grow and learn is essential

 

The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical salary range of $75,000 – $85,000 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, experience, and internal pay structures. As a part of NorLand’s total compensation package, this position is eligible for other benefits subject to program eligibility.
