Our dynamic team of project managers, engineers and technicians are professionally trained and certified. Their technical skills are augmented by a disciplined approach to project management that ensures all blasting and rock work services are delivered as budgeted and scheduled. Our skilled specialists use creative, innovative and systematic problem-solving techniques to develop efficient designs, methodologies and work plans that save our customers money and provide measurable returns on their investment.

Key Personnel

Ron Woolf, B.Sc

Vice President

Ron Woolf is a Mining Engineer with over 30 years of experience in underground / surface mining, blast engineering, geological engineering, rock mechanics and project management. The largest project he has managed was valued at $65M (CAD) and included supervising / directing over 400 personnel. Ron Woolf is a past president of the Western Canada Chapter of the International Society of Explosives Engineers (ISEE).

Lewis Clarke

General Manager

Lewis Clarke graduated with honours from the Mining Engineering Technology Program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 2002. Lewis has a strong background in estimating and project management and has directed projects throughout North America. He has also completed the Optimization of Blasting Operations course at Queens University. Lewis is a member in good standing of the International Society of Explosives Engineers and is currently serving as Treasurer of the Western Canada Chapter of the ISEE.

Corry Goumans

Superintendent (BC and Washington State Blasting Licenses)

Corry Goumans has over 40 years of drilling, controlled blasting and blast design experience. He has managed successful projects throughout North and South America. Corry is a member of the International Society of Explosives Engineers and has been recognized with the President’s Award for lifetime achievement in the blasting field.

Chris Fahr, AScT

Estimator / Project Manager

Chris Fahr graduated from the Mining Engineering Technology Program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 2007. He has completed the Optimization of Blasting Operations course at Queens University, the Surface Blasting course through RAM Inc. in Elko Nevada, and is a member in good standing of the International Society of Explosives Engineers. Chris is currently serving as the Secretary of the Western Canada Chapter of the ISEE.

Mark Katrichak

Operations Coordinator

Mark Katrichak has over 25 years of experience in coordinating crews, equipment and materials. Mark is also responsible for public relations, tool crib operations and ensuring that equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.

Ian Tan, B.A.

Divisional Controller

Ian Tan has over 15 years of experience in cost accounting and office management. Ian’s responsibilities include invoicing and cost control as well as regulatory compliance and public relations.
