Gastown Heritage Building Facade Preservation

Pacific Demolition was contracted to demolish a heritage building in the heart of historic Gastown in Vancouver, BC, in a manner that allowed its façade to be preserved and incorporated into new construction.

Our crews followed an engineered plan to carefully deconstruct the building using a combination of manual labour and mechanical equipment. Items such as wood beams and brick were salvaged for re-use.

This project was completed safely and efficiently in a dense urban area with minimal disruption to nearby businesses, pedestrians and the travelling public.
