Sewer Line Modifications

BEL Contracting was contracted by Tria Developments Ltd to re-route an existing combined sewer line to facilitate the construction of a future tower. This project involved the installation of large-diameter manholes, the construction of two bypasses complete with gate valves and the reconstruction of roadways, curbs and sidewalks. As part of this project, BEL Contracting successfully used Peterson Plugs to plug the existing sewer and bypass the main flow, a technique that is rarely used in western Canada. BEL Contracting’s extensive planning and coordination experience was the key to completing this project safely and efficiently, as the sequence and timing of several important activities played a major role in the successful completion of the project.
