Tandem Railcar Dumper Installation

Metso Minerals Inc. and Ridley Island Terminals contracted LNS to assemble, install and commission a new tandem rail-car dumper. This complex and time-sensitive project involved the removal of two existing rail-car dumpers, modifications to their foundations and installing two new rail-car dumpers and bridge systems in their place. This project has allowed Ridley Island Terminals to increase their throughput as they can now dump either two Canadian rail-cars or two U.S. rail-cars at a time without uncoupling.
