NorLand Volunteers for Weedbusters
This past Saturday, September 28th, our team members participated in Weedbusters Day that was organized by the Burnaby Lake Park Association. We could not have asked for better weather while pulling out invasive species around Burnaby Lake Park with our fellow NorLander's and family members! Some invasive species that we removed were himalayan blackberries and morning glory. Throughout the morning we dug, picked, and pulled our way through the area to prepare it for planting on October 20th with EcoBlitz.
Thank you to everyone who helped out that day, and a special thank you to our event organizers, we would not have been able to have a great day of volunteering without you.
