Are you a leader in creating great workplace cultures? At NorLand, we’re looking for a talent champion to join our People & Culture team as our Recruiter. In this role, you’ll develop and deliver a best-in-class recruitment program for hourly (primarily unionized) and salaried staff to enable the company to attract industry-leading hires. The role spans talent acquisition strategy, working directly with hiring managers to map out their talent pipelines, employer brand, active candidate generation and management of our recruitment-related programs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading recruiting activities at NorLand through programs that attract passive talent, such as employer brand and careers fairs, as well as proactive recruitment of hourly and salaried roles in partnership with Hiring Managers across the business units.
- Responsibility for outlining hiring needs for each business unit and managing the recruiting budget and posting platforms, social advertising as well as agency partners, to ensure that recruitment spend drives tangible results.
- Becoming the subject matter expert on a newly launched ATS / HRIS, supporting Hiring Managers with training and business decisions through analytics.
- Advocate for best practices in talent acquisition across the organization. This involves coaching hiring managers to select the most qualified candidates using effective, unbiased interview techniques, as well as guiding them through offer negotiations and the onboarding process.
- Promoting, living and embedding the NorLand Values through all day-to-day interactions.
What we’re looking for:
- Prior experience leading volume recruitment programs for unionized hourly and salaried roles in a complex business with multiple units and/or Provinces is a must.
- Has led quantifiable improvements to a recruitment program overall, such as implementing new systems, engaging hiring managers to adopt best-practices or bringing creative approaches that resulted in transformative result.
- Skilled in employer brand and social recruitment strategies.
- Previously responsible for the organization’s recruitment metrics and budget.
Compensation
The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical salary range of $75-85k per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and experience. NorLand offers a comprehensive total rewards package that includes a competitive base salary, bonus, extended health and dental plans with premiums full paid by the company, as well as paid time off and RRSP matching.
