NorLand Cleans Up

Body:

It was a hot day outside on May 31st while we held our annual NorLand Avenue Clean Up. We had 17 volunteers come out and help clean up along NorLand Avenue and collect everything from cigarette butts to water bottles, and even a reclining chair! We filled the back of our pick-up to capacity, full of waste from the street.

Not only were we able to help keep our environment clean, we also got a workout in while doing it! Thank you to all of our NorLand Volunteers who came out to help.

NorLand Rocks the Vancouver Sun Run

Body:

Our NorLand Family participated in the Sun Run this past weekend and had 36 runners and came 6/69 in our category! It was a great event with all the seasons invovled, including sun, rain, and hail. Thank you to all our NorLand participants and to the organizers of the Sun Run for such a successful day.

After our run we ordered lunch from Save on Meats in Vancouver and contributed 50 meals to people in need through their meal token program. This weekend truly aligned with Our Shared Purpose, Helping Build Enduring Communities, Together.

First Annual NorLand Sock Drive

Body:

This past October was the First Annual NorLand Sock Drive in partnership with Living The Dream Team. We raised $2,930.00 of our $3,000.00 goal and donated 1320 pairs of socks and 750 granola bars! We also received donations of over 200 socks from Tentree, 120 granola bars from Mills Office Productivity, and 300 tubes of toothpaste and dental hygeine kits from Alpha Dental Group in Brentwood Mall. NorLanders graciously filled the donation boxes around the offices and assisted in handing the socks out on a very rainy day.
