Employee safety is absolutely critical. The most important thing that NorLand does on any job site is ensuring that Everyone Goes Home Safe. That means we are constantly adapting our company practices and updating our employee training to reflect the latest and greatest in employee safety.

Liz has worked with the Chairman and the NorLand Board since 2015 and has over 25 years of experience in financial and regulatory roles. Liz articled at KPMG where she obtained the CPA, CA designation and completed the In-Depth Tax program. She has worked in public practice in the areas of audit, tax and Canadian SOX consulting, and in a variety of industries including retail, mining and biotech, as well as for the BC Securities Commission.

On September 6th, a select group of approximately 100 industry professionals, Squamish Nation Leaders, and Canadian politicians, including the Prime Minister himself, gathered underneath the Burrard Street Bridge for the groundbreaking ceremony for the Sen̓áḵw housing development.
Yesterday we saw an excellent example of what it means to be a part of the NorLand Family. Our crews work hard to get the job done, but they don't stop there. They go above and beyond, even when they could easily pass the buck on to someone else. This story below is from an incident report on a job site yesterday afternoon, shared via a weekly Health and Safety Update.

Gary has been with NorLand for a combined 21 years, joining NorLand through the acquisition of Apex Industrial Movers in 1991. Gary began as a trainee and progressed through to Operations Manager by 2003. After exploring the heavy lift industry outside of NorLand, Gary returned in 2015 as General Manager of Apex and Pro-Tech. Gary is a red seal certified crane operator and a Professional Project Management certified leader, with over 25 years of experience in strategic planning, project management, team development, and a focus on safety-first operations.
