Construction: A rapidly growing industry
Construction is one of the fastest growing industries in British Columbia. According to the BC Construction Association, 9.2 percent of the BC workforce relies on the construction industry for a paycheck. This amounts to 236,000 people and is higher than any other sector. The number of construction companies in BC is 25,736 – nearly a 1,400-count increase from 2018!
NorLand's virtual cleanup
Due to recent BC restrictions, NorLand wasn't able to host our usual NorLand Ave. Cleanup this quarter. As a result, we decided to hold a Virtual NorLand Cleanup from April 22 (Earth Day) to April 30! The idea was to get out into your neighborhoods with friends and family, take a couple of bags, and see how you can clean up your own communities. Everyone Goes Home Safe – we made sure everyone proved they were wearing gloves and following safety protocols while participating in their cleanups.

Celebrating Earth Day with a Remote NorLand Cleanup!
April 22 is Earth Day – a day to appreciate our planet by demonstrating support for environmental protection. Earth Day has been an annual global sensation since 1970, but it has never been more important than now. Our planet needs our help.
First Quarterly 2021 Street Cleanup for PIM!
Apex & Pro-Tech (Pacific Industrial Movers) have continued to adopt and clean the streets of Delta this year! This was an initiative started in 2019 to make a difference to business, community, and the environment. Not only do the streets look great, this is a chance for NorLanders to come together and enjoy community, conversation, and food. On March 12, 6:00 am was breakfast time for ALL workers and then the volunteer cleanup kicked off at 7:00 pm.
